E-mail
Following a life-long calling, he entered seminary at Hamma School of Theology in Springfield, Ohio in 1971, Graduating in 1975. January of 1976 saw a first call, as the assistant pastor of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Babylon, New York, where he was ordained and installed. The Tennermanns' daughter, Megan, was born in Babylon. The call to King of Kings, New Windsor, New York, came in 1980, where Pastor Greg has been ever since. Mentoring first call pastors, training by Peter Stienke as a Bridgebuilder, researching Natural Systems Theory, Supervising interns, and leading healthy congregation workshops have been recent activities. This led to the interest in the Intentional Interim ministry. On a personal note, Pastor Greg enjoys travel, history, technology, photography, archaeology, bridge and wine. He also wants us to know he is tall (6'6")!
His faith journey has taken him through many denominations: baptized Lutheran, raised in the Reformed Church in America, for many years active in an Episcopal Church, a youth pastor in a Presbyterian church and ordained in the RCA In addition to his pastoral work at Prince of Peace, Pastor Jake is also an Air Force Chaplain at the Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, NY.
