Please join us as we celebrate Mother’s Day with a delicious Brunch in our Fellowship Hall. We’re serving Eggs, French Toast, Sausage & Bacon all cooked to order and served by our talented and/or handsome staff. It’s free, it’s fun and it’s a great way to begin your celebration of Mother’s Day!
A free will offering will be taken to support EPES, the non-profit foundation in Chile created & directed by our missionary Karen Anderson. All proceeds raised will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000.
The Prince of Peace Golf Group
begins on May 16th.
We will tee off at 5:30 PM each Wednesday evening through the summer at the Barney Road Golf Course. The cost to play is $12 per person per round. A punch card can be purchased for $120 which provides you with 12 rounds golf. Each player must have their own set of clubs in order to play. After golf we join together at a local restaurant for dinner & fellowship. It’s a non-competitive league designed to connect people through the game of golf, so please join us. All are welcome regardless of your level of play. We realize that many people can't make it many of the scheduled days, just come when you can. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Welcoming area. For more information please contact Roger Behrens at roger.behrens@earthlink.net or call 490-1856.

STEPHEN MINISTRY

The Stephen Ministry Difference
With Stephen Ministry--
- Pastors don't carry the burden of being the congregation's sole caregivers. They have a team of gifted, trained, committed lay caregivers ready to minister to hurting people inside and outside the congregation.
- Laypeople have a chance to use and strengthen their leadership and care giving gifts in meaningful ministry--serving others while experiencing tremendous spiritual growth.
- People who are hurting no longer suffer alone. A caring Christian friend comes alongside them to provide emotional and spiritual care for as long as the need persists.
- Congregations have a practical, powerful way to:
- "Equip God's people for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:12)
- "Love one another as I have loved you." (John 13:34)
- "Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
- "Go make disciples." (Matthew 28:19)
People Who Need Care . . .
- Receive quality, Christ-centered, confidential care for their hurts and needs.
- Find hope, healing, and a new sense of self-worth through the support of a Stephen Minister.
- Know they are remembered and supported by their congregation in times of personal difficulty.
- Receive ongoing care for continuing needs long after the onset of crisis, when many others have forgotten about them.
- Grow in a deeper relationship with their Lord as they experience God's unconditional love for them through their Stephen Minister.

HOLY HIKERS
The Holy Hikers invite everyone out to enjoy the wonders of nature with us this year.We offer two hikes each month and highly encourage you to put these dates on your calendars now. The easy hikes are typically a hike with little to no elevation which we feel can be done by all ages, young and/or old. The moderate level hikes include an ascent to a peak and can be done by all ages, however may require a bit more physical effort.
If you would like more information,
please contact Donna Walker at
kayakgirl1@hotmail.com or Roger Behrens at
roger.behrens@earthlink.net.
We will include you on our email distribution list as each of these hike dates come closer. These emails will provide additional information for you and your family. For the 2012 hiking schedule -- click here
