FBI Jesus is a fairly new ministry at POP but we have accomplished quite a bit in a short period of time. Over the last few years we have done fun activities such as bowling, soccer golf, and sledding. Each year we volunteer at one of the city missions. We also have service projects each year. We have raised money for toilets in Zimbabwe, money for the homeless and have supported our high school youth in raising money to attend a National Conference. All of this was done while learning the hardships that people have to endure in their day to day life and still enjoying our time toge
The Youth at POP have been busy this winter. They baked Christmas cookies for the Albany
City Mission in December. In February they made and served pancakes as a fund raiser for the choir’s trip to NYC in November. In March they went to the Albany City Mission to make and serve lunches.
We try real hard to keep them busy.
Starting in April the FBI is learning about the water shortage in Africa and what they can do to help. In April and May they will be spending time learning more about the problem and in May they will be hold a fund raiser for this mission project.
The FBI will be meeting on May 6th to complete their work on this project and later in May they will be starting their
collection. Our projected date for starting our fund raiser will be May 20th so check the
Faithworks for detailed information about this FBI-Jesus project.
Information on meetings, activities and upcoming events may be found in
the weekly “Faith Works” or the monthly “Connections” Newsletter.
